Global Outreach

Johannesburg, South Africa Malawi Harare, Zimbabwe Lusaka, Zambia Kitwe, Zambia

MAPC is committed to providing both funds and hands-on support for pastoral ministry, mission work, advocacy, partnership ministry, medical aid and theological education to our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, especially in those places where poverty, corruption and disease compromise the fullness of life which Christ brought to all.

Zimbabwe Partnership – Synod of Harare
On a warm, breezy October afternoon in 2010 at the Rock Haven Retreat Center outside Harare, leaders from MAPC and the Synod of Harare entered into an innovative partnership agreement, witnessed joyfully by close to 1,000 members from the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) who came from across the country for this momentous occasion.

Phillips Talbot Global Ministry Fellow
The fellowship is an opportunity for outstanding seminary graduates to begin their pastoral ministry with a 15-month immersion experience in the dynamic context of the church in the “global south.” Through a $1 million endowment established by The 921 Fund, the church’s capital fundraising campaign, a Global Ministry Fellow will be chosen each year for this ordained position. Following the immersion period, the fellow will return to NYC to share what they have learned.
